Divided We Fail Welcomes New Partner

Divided We Fail, formed earlier this year by AARP, Business Roundtable and SEIU to push for healthcare reform, announced Thursday that the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) would be joining the coalition, yet another sign of the growing political will for real change.

Under new leadership since February, 2006, NFIB’s decision to sign the DWF principles represents a huge shift from their past policy positions against SEIU’s healthcare reform priorities.

We hope new NFIB CEO Todd Stottlemeyer’s vision and leadership will be reflected at the local level among NFIB’s state organizations, where we know small businesses – whose owners, employees, and families make up the largest segment of the uninsured – are deeply concerned about healthcare.
